Catholic Schools in Diocese Outperform City, State

The New York State standardized test results are in – and students in Brooklyn and Queens Catholic elementary schools surpassed their public-school peers in English language arts, while earning comparable scores in math.

The tests were given to fourth, sixth and eighth graders in English language arts (ELA) and math last spring to gauge students’ mastery of Common Core learning standards. The state education department released the score reports this fall.  Read more...
